This was a horrific weekend for America.
From pipebombs to a black couple murdered in a Kroger after the killer was denied access
to a black church to the mass shooting, killing 11 at a synagogue in Pittsburgh.

To deny that we are engaged in a civil war, is to be irresponsible.
The fabric of our democracy is unraveling, and our hypocrisies are being called to account (again).

against people who scare them is one of the most dangerous traditions we have in this country.

Carolyn Bryant, the woman who caused Emmett Till lynching is just one example of thousands.
It is also proof of white privilege.
Any white person can call a cop on a person of color with serious ramifications.

This past week has shown who cops are protecting white people from.
White ally’s are needed to help translate fear to acceptance.
